  1. To return to a previous match, turn the knob backwards or press the left arrow on the PC keyboard.

  2. If required, refine the search further by adding more data to the filter.

  3. As when searching for all clips, the Clipbox directory of partial matches can be considered circular in order to reach the desired result quickly.

  4. When the desired clip has been found, press the ENTER key (either on the panel or on the PC keyboard) to load the clip into Interlinear's playlist at the current cursor position.  Interlinear will confirm that the clip was loaded successfully by displaying the timecode of the first frame and the duration of the clip.  If there is a problem with the clip, Interlinear will beep twice, and the timecode and duration will not be displayed.

BY MEDIA ID

Media ID is an optional replacement for clip numbers for use where other automation systems use a proprietary method of identifying clips instead of using clip numbers.

  1. Press the CLIP key (or F1 on the PC keyboard) to open the Media ID field.

  2. From the PC keyboard, type the partial data which specifies the filter to use, and then wait.  The search for the first match starts automatically when typing pauses.  Interlinear returns to the beginning of the Clipbox directory and searches forwards until the first match is found.  The search stops and the result is displayed.  If a match is not found, the message "----" is displayed in place of the title and Media ID.

  3. To find subsequent matches, turn the knob forwards or press the right arrow key on the PC keyboard.  When all matches have been found, the message "----" is displayed.

  4. To return to a previous match, turn the knob backwards or press the left arrow on the PC keyboard.

  5. If required, refine the search further by adding more data to the filter.

  6. As when searching for all clips, the Clipbox directory of partial matches can be considered circular in order to reach the desired result quickly.

SEARCHING BY NUMBER

  1. Press the CLIP key (or F1 on the PC keyboard) to open the number field.

  2. From the number pad on the panel or the PC keyboard, type the number and then wait.  Interlinear uses the Clipbox number table to search for the unique clip number.  When the search completes, the result is displayed.  If a match is not found, the message "----" is displayed in place of the title.  The number field will remain open for further input or corrections.

  3. To search for clips with adjacent numbers, turn the KNOB forward or backwards a small amount (or press the right or left arrow keys on the PC keyboard).  The new search begins as  the current search result is removed from the display.  Stop turning the knob and wait for the title and the adjacent number of the next clip to be displayed.  Continue this process until the desired clip has been found, or the search reaches the end of the database.  As with the title searches, the Clipbox number tables can be considered to be circular, with the "----" message marking the beginning and the end.
