TROUBLESHOOTING THE LAYBACK PROCESS

If the Interlinear RECORD key continues to flash and does not light solidly.  Press the STOP key and investigate the following.

  • Does Interlinear display the WAITING FOR VIDEO message?  If yes, Clipbox is not receiving any video at the record port.  Check the video routing.

  • Does Interlinear display the WAITING FOR AUDIO message?  If yes, Clipbox is not receiving audio that is locked to video at the record port.  Clipbox cannot record successfully unless the audio is locked to the video.  Check the audio routing and the word clock.

If Interlinear does not display a message, then Interlinear was unable to initialise the Clipbox port to record within five seconds.  Investigate the following.

  • Is there enough free space in Clipbox to record the dub?

  • Is Clipbox able to initialise a standard recording within five seconds?
