TROUBLESHOOTING


CANNOT GET CONTROL OF DESIRED CLIPBOX PORT

  • The Clipbox port may be in use by another device

  • If the Clipbox port is not in use by another device, override the port redirection with key strokes MENU, 1, (desired port number), PLUS, ENTER in order to gain control.


SEARCH KNOB DOESN'T WORK

  • Press the SRCH key to activate the knob.  The knob only works while the SRCH key is lit.

  • The Clipbox Protocol Manager (Early Versions 2) needs the password to allow jog and shuttle operation.


TWO BEEPS WHEN KEYS ARE PRESSED

  • The requested operation is not appropriate at the moment - finish current task then try again

  • The requested operation cannot be done because it is not yet supported in software

  • During the self test period, confirms that a key contact closure has been detected by CPU


VTR REMOTE (EDIT) CONTROLLER CANNOT CONTROL CLIPBOX THRU INTERLINEAR

  • INTERLINEAR must have control of a Clipbox port, and a clip must be loaded, before a VTR controller can establish contact with the BVW75 VTR emulator within INTERLINEAR

  • Ensure that INTERLINEAR's protocol translator is switched on.  Press the TRANSLATOR key if the key is not already lit.

  • Check the cable is securely located in the correct sockets

  • Check the setup of the VTR controller to advise it to expect a BVW75 VTR

  • The VTR controller may not have been previously tested with INTERLINEAR, and therefore may not be fully supported by the INTERLINEAR protocol translator.  Inform Flash.


CANNOT RECORD

Recording cannot take place on Clipbox unless there is video present on the Clipbox video input.
If audio is to be recorded, INTERLINEAR will not start the recording until the digital audio signal is locked to the video signal.
Recording will not start if there is not enough free space on Clipbox for the whole recording.

CANNOT ACCESS ITEMS IN THE LIST THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN TO AIR

Wait till not on air, then press GOTO START, then use the cursor keys to scroll down the list to the desired item. 

CANNOT REMOVE A MENU FROM THE DISPLAY WITHOUT MAKING CHANGES

Press MENU to cancel unwanted menus from the display.
Press ESC key on optional PC/AT keyboard.
