Load List
InterCart uses a special playlist in Cart mode. The single playlist holds all the items for all the channels. Using this list in conjunction with Version 3 firmware is what makes the Interlinear hardware behave as an InterCart. This Cart playlist is list number zero.
The LOAD LIST key allows the selection of up to 10 lists only. List number zero is the Cart playlist and list number nine is the Cart bin list. Lists one to eight are normal lists and, when selected, cause InterCart to exit Cart mode and behave like a normal Interlinear.
When the LOAD LIST key is pressed, InterCart responds with:
LOAD LIST = > 1 < EXIT CART MODE?
to remind you that changing to any other list except list zero will cause Cart mode to terminate. If you are already using another list, InterCart will respond with:
LOAD LIST = > 1 < 0 = CART MODE
to remind you that the Cart list is list zero.
List nine, the bin list, behaves as a normal playlist associated with just one channel. If you are unsure about the contents of the Cart emulators bins, you can access list 9 in order to see what InterCart has in its bins. This is only useful if there is a problem with the Automation System.
Automation
InterCart processes all Cart Protocol commands and Status Requests and translates them into Clipbox Remote Control Protocol. InterCart is designed to work with all Automation Systems that have a Cart Driver installed. It has been tested with Newstar, Basys and Avstar. It is possible that other Automations Systems may demand faster responses than InterCart can supply, so if you have any problems with your Automation System not responding as if there is a real Cart machine connected, please let us know.
