THE DISPLAY

The display has three lines of data.  Each line shows information about one clip.
The first line always shows data about the clip which can be seen on the Clipbox output.
The other two lines can show data about any clips in the list which have not yet been taken to air.
Each line has four data fields, from left to right, clip number, clip title, start time and duration.  Each of these data fields can be accessed by pressing the appropriate key to the right of the display.
The other two lines can also show menu information when the MENU key is pressed.  Menu data takes precedence over clip data until the menu data is entered or the MENU function is released.

MAKING A PLAY LIST

To select a clip to be entered into the list, press the CLIP key.  Entry markers >  < will appear in the clip number field of the display and the lamp in the CLIP key will light.
Should you wish to exit this mode without storing a clip in the list, press the CLIP key again before pressing the ENTER key.
Type the number of the desired clip, to a maximum of four digits.  The number will be displayed within the entry markers, and the title will be fetched from Clipbox and displayed in the title field alongside the number.  Correct any typing errors with the MINUS key to backspace or the CLEAR key to start again.
When the number has been typed correctly, and the expected title is displayed, press the ENTER key.  The INTERLINEAR will store the specified clip in its playlist, and if it is the first clip in the list, Clipbox will load the clip and display the first frame on the video output.
In the case where the next position in the list is vacant, as when starting a new list, the cursor will move down automatically to aid swift data entry.
To add further clips to the playlist, repeat the method described above.
Clips may also be selected by using the TITLE key and entering characters through the number pad or by rotating the knob.  This is useful for clips without numbers.
When three clips have been entered into the list, the display splits into two sections.  The upper section, comprising the top line, continues to show the clip that is on the video output of Clipbox.  The lower section, comprising the second and third lines, shows two consecutive items from the playlist.
The lower section is a moveable window onto the playlist, and can be positioned over any items that have not yet been taken to air.  Use the UP, DOWN, END and HOME keys to position the window and its item cursor.  The HOME key rejoins the previously split sections of the display and implements automatic scrolling of the list during playback.
Once a play list has been generated, the running order can be changed by using the list editing functions INSERT and DELETE, or by replacement, as required.
Select the clip in the list that requires the change by using UP and DOWN to position the cursor on the desired clip.  Enter a new clip number or title at this point and the existing clip will be replaced with the newly requested clip.  Optionally press INSERT to insert an additional clip before the selected clip.  Or press DELETE to remove the selected clip.
Even the on air clip can be changed in this manner, but obviously this will disturb the video output.
