Setting the PIN (Menu 97)
When the panel leaves our factory the PIN is not set, and the panel will not enter the lock mode. To enable the panel lock, enter your new PIN by pressing the following keys:
MENU 9 7 X X X X ENTER X X X X = your PIN
Interlinear will request confirmation of the new PIN. Enter the PIN again:
X X X X ENTER X X X X = your PIN
Now the panel may be locked using the manual lock command. However, the automatic panel lock will not operate until the timer has been set by Menu 98.
Setting the Automatic Lock (Menu 98)
To enable the automatic lock, press the following keys:
MENU 9 8 [time duration] ENTER
Time duration is in minutes in the range 1 to 30.
Example:
to set the automatic lock after ten minutes of keyboard inactivity:
Press MENU 9 8 1 0 ENTER
Dialogue boxes are provided on the display to help with data input.
Disabling the Automatic Lock
The automatic lock may be disabled by setting the time to zero. Press the following keys:
MENU 9 8 0 ENTER
Disabling the PIN
The PIN may be disabled by setting all four digits to zero. Press the following keys:
MENU 9 7 0 0 0 0 ENTER
