SAVING MARKED CLIPS

Clips with MARK IN and MARK OUT points can be saved in the Clipbox database for other users to access the marked section, and for a permanent record of the desired section of the clip.  For example,  a recording of a live event with black at the top and tail can be reduced to contain just the required video.

  1. Load the desired clip and MARK IN and MARK OUT.

  2. Check that the MARK IN and MARK OUT are correct by playing the clip.

  3. Stop playback.

  4. Press the SAVE LIST key.  Interlinear will display:  SAVE EDITED CLIP ?  ARE YOU SURE ?

  5. Press ENTER to confirm.  The save operation takes a few seconds.

A new clip will be generated in the Clipbox database, containing only the marked video, with the same title and timecode, but with a new number.
The new clip will replace the old clip in Interlinear's playlist, where you will be able to see the new number.
The old clip is not deleted automatically, and can be recalled if necessary using the original number.  The old clip can be deleted from another terminal, or by Interlinear if the Delete Video option is installed.

CHANGING CLIP NUMBERS AND TITLES

The clip numbers and titles can be changed or removed at any time, but before a clip number or title can be altered, the clip must be loaded into the playlist.  These functions will work with any clip, even those that Interlinear did not record.

Changing a Clip Number with Menu 4

  • Use the UP and DOWN keys to move the cursor to the clip to be altered

  • Press MENU key followed by the 4 key.  Interlinear responds <<< SET NUMBER = >    <

  • Type the new number for the clip, or zero to remove the number, and press ENTER.  Interlinear will change the number of the clip to the number you have requested, or the next available number if that number is in use already.  This will be confirmed in the playlist where you will see the old number replaced by the new number.

Changing a Title with Menu 5

  • Use the UP and DOWN keys to move the cursor to the clip to be altered

  • Press MENU key followed by the 5 key.  Interlinear responds >                  <<<< SET TITLE

  • Enter the new title of the clip and press ENTER.  Interlinear will change the title of the clip to the title you have specified.  This will be confirmed in the playlist where you will see the old title replaced by the new title.
